The newest hospital in Bucks County — St. Luke’s modern Upper Bucks campus outside Quakertown, opened in late 2019 and carrying a Level IV trauma designation.
St. Luke’s University Health Network opened its Upper Bucks Campus in late 2019 in Milford Township just west of Quakertown, near the Route 663 turnpike interchange — a brand-new hospital replacing the network’s century-old borough campus and giving the Quakertown area modern inpatient care and a full ER. A 2023 expansion doubled the campus, adding a cancer center and a women-and-babies pavilion.
It carries a Level IV trauma accreditation — stabilization and transfer capability — with the network’s Level I trauma center in Bethlehem a short flight or highway run away. For upper-county buyers, it means the “rural” end of Bucks now has a genuinely new hospital at its center.
